Guaranteeing Quality Assurance across the affordable housing sector has never been more important. Scrutiny of products, how they are manufactured and installed and the functional benefits they provide is a hot topic for developers and housing providers across the country.
This session - hosted in association with Wilmott Dixon - will provide a candid yet insightful overview of the work organisations across the sector are doing to push the boundaries on innovation to achieve the quality assurance demands from developers, housing providers, residents, Government and certifying bodies.

MHCLG Design Quality Seminar

Over 380 people attended the MHCLG Design Quality Conference in London last month to discuss the importance of design quality and how it can be achieved. In Manchester, MHCLG will be presenting some of the key themes from that event for discussion.
The seminar will also be updating you on the design quality work being undertaken by MHCLG and Stephen Kinsella from Homes England will be talking about their approach to design quality.
The discussion will include a panel of experts, including; Ben Derbyshire, President of RIBA, Richard Cook, Head of Residential at Lend Lease, Peter Quinn of Lovell and Sasha Deepwell from Irwell Valley Housing Association.
Thought Leadership Session Two: “Stopping Building Failures - Prepare to succeed"

Knowledge Theatre, Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill Street, Manchester M2 3GX
This session will consider some the themes of the latest reports from The Housing Forum, “Building Homes Better” and “Stopping Building Failures” and consider ways that the sector can make a step change in the consistency of residential construction by investing time and resources at the start of a project.
This will include important tips for clients commissioning and procuring design and construction. The session will also relate the findings and practical considerations to those matters housing organisations should consider when embarking on major works contracts using a sample of the findings of the report and the case studies to illustrate points.
