Shelagh Grant Addresses National APS Conference 201812 September 2018
Shelagh Grant, Chief Executive of The Housing Forum will be addressing delegates at the Association for Project Safety’s annual conference in Manchester today; presenting on the subject of ‘Building homes for all: Managing targets and maintaining health and wellbeing’.
The conference will discuss the particular health and safety challenges and opportunities arising from large scale infrastructure projects and will bring together leading experts from energy, digital infrastructure, building management, and housing and commercial property management to consider the future from a range of perspectives, including those of SMEs.
Drawing from cross-sector expertise across the housing industry, Shelagh will be exploring the current landscape to achieve government targets for house-building in her presentation, in addition to the design factors in new build development that can directly influence the health and well-being of residents.
The Association for Project Safety (APS) was founded in 1995 to improve and promote the professional practice of design and construction health and safety risk management. The APS supports over 5,000 members in all areas of construction health and safety risk management and the current President is Bobby Chakravarthy, Partner at Arcus Consulting.
