Development Partnership Forum - East of England: Creating New Communities

07 January 2019

Whatever the political uncertainty, one thing is certain we need to build more housing and do so urgently. The first Development Partnership Forum of 2019 will examine how a new town is being developed and explore new house building opportunities available in the East of England.

Achieving sustainable and economically successful communities at scale is a significant challenge. This Forum will focus on the housing ambitions in the East of England and the creation of new communities, including an in-depth analysis of the planning, development and delivery of Alconbury Weald, Huntingdonshire by Urban & Civic.

This Forum is relevant to all parties involved in the development of new homes, particularly those developing through partnerships and joint ventures, including local authorities and those looking to expand development, support new communities and build for the first time.

The Development Partnership Forum is a popular initiative from The Housing Forum bringing government and industry together to share best practice and to support new entrants into housing development. It is a highly relevant initiative, following a year of major government announcements and measures to accelerate and increase house building.
