Through The Housing Forum, members have the opportunity to co-produce or host an Innovation Forum event that showcases innovation in practice or delivery.

 

These events aim to provide an understanding of product innovation and its potential benefits in housing.

Heat Networks - The good, the bad and the data: CHP and District Heating is popular with government and planners, but not always with landlords and residents. 

 

Hosted by The Housing Forum and community heating specialist Switch2 Energy, thise seminar included expert industry speakers speakers from the consultants Martin Arnold Associates, and legal experts Trowers & Hamlins.

 

 

Delegates were provided with real-life examples from CHP and communal heating schemes and introduced to a more intelligent, informed and compliant approach to heat network design, development, implementation and operation.

Building Better Homes: How process, innovation and attitude all make a difference: This Forum assessed the challenge of introducing innovative products to a sector focused on initial price rather than lifetime cost and utility to customers. It also examined the national and local issues affecting delivery of housing from the perspective of the HCA, NHBC and Housing Associations.

A New Wave of Modular: ilke Homes demonstration development in Gallions Reach is an example of a new wave of modular homes.  Ben Denton, Head of Group Strategy and Business Development at Keepmoat Regeneration presented on advantages in construction efficiency, running costs, flexibility and choice.
