Caroline Compton-James

Director, Strategy and Communication- Construction, Osborne

Since 2000 I have worked within the construction and affordable Caroline Compton-Jameshousing markets.

I currently lead on the strategic planning processes for Construction, developing responses to new initiatives and new str

ategic opportunities.  I work across the wider Osborne organisation and with external organisations to implement these, and I work with other members of the senior leadership team to support the operational and commercial aspects of the business.

Before joining Osborne I was a civil servant in the Cabinet Office’s Construction Team, implementing the Government’s Construction Strategy across Whitehall.  It was in this role that I developed an understanding of the macro-economic challenges facing the Construction Industry.

Prior to this I worked in the affordable housing sector in development and housing management roles.  In my role as Programme Delivery Manager of a new build construction programme, I managed a multi-tenure programme of 250 units per year, with approved programme costs of £180million.  I have gained operational and strategic experience in housing management, delivering and managing front line housing services.

I am a Non-Executive Board Member of Tower Hamlets Homes.
